Black label Sports Fishing Charters Cairns Tropical North Queensland pride themselves in offering a memorable Sport Fishing experiences on the GREAT BARRIER REEF in the Coral Sea.We specialise in LIGHT TACKLE SPORTS FISHING for BLACK MARLIN,SAILFISH, SPANISH MACKEREL and other Pelagic’s to the ultimate of Heavy Tackle Game Fishing for GIANT BLACK MARLIN.If wishing for a more relaxed style, we offer REEF FISHING CHARTERS from one day to 7 days and up to 90 miles north Of Cairns.It doesn’t matter whether you’re a novice or a seasoned angler, our deck crew will helped provide the extra knowledge if required to hook that fish of a lifetime. Black Label also offer Light and Medium Tackle Game fishing along the outside edge of the reef in search of Wahoo,Dolphin fish ,Yellowfin Tuna and also the Bulldog of the Reefs the Giant Trevally. Other activities included in our charters is snorkelling the protected areas inside the many reefs and sandy atolls.

BLACK LABEL is a custom built 40ft game boat by BLACKWATCH Australia. Black Watch established a reputation in the rough waters of Australia for speed, comfort and dryness.With standard twin 450 HP power Cummins Engines the Black Watch 40 will deliver an approximate speed of 30 knots with a sizeable load, with a comfortable cruise on 22 to 26 knots. Acceleration of the vessel is sensational with maneuverability which is often described as one of the best in the business.Black Label is a large vessel for her size and the extra beam gives the opportunity for a bigger layout inside the saloon,and more comfort for guests whilst on a live aboard charter staying out on the Great Barrier Reef.

A bit about Mark Parkinson

Owner/operator Mark Parkinson has spent from his early teenage years targeting all species of Australian sport fish from the iconic Barramundi to the mighty Black Marlin and Sports Fishing of the Great Barrier Reef.Mark has been a fishing guide /Skipper for 28 years in both Queensland and primarily in the Northern Tropical waters of Australia targeting Barramundi and Bluewater sport fishing in which mark also guided his clients to the biggest Barramundi’s ever caught on rod and reel with one session putting his anglers onto 18 fish over a metre and 37 over a metre for the week.During early 2000 he also helped establish the light tackle billfish fishery off norther Territory coastline for Light Tackle sailfish and Juvenile Black Marlin which has helped hime graduate into the Heavy Tackle Black Marlin Fishery off Cairns.

Marks other top achievements was being one of the top saltwater fly tiers in Australia but since has not had the time to continue his fly fishing in the salt but prefers to see his guests landing billfish on fly these days off Black Label.Mark loves to constantly keep learning in the industry to provide his guests the best time out on the Great Barrier Reef be it either chasing Juvenile marlin on light tackle to the giant black marlin of the Coral seas.If Mark is not fishing in the down season he is going over his game boat meticulously to keep her in top shape each season for his guests and crew.Mark does not get to fish quite a lot of tournament or fishing in his spare time as running his boat is a priority and exploring new fishing ares along the GREAT BARRIER REEF for his clients in the future.
